    Your Personal Data

    For Club members, callers and musicians:  we keep your name, telephone number, address and email (where supplied) securely.  We do not share these with any other organisation unless we have your explicit permission to do so.  For example, we will request permission to share contact details of musicians and callers in order to arrange the annual programme.



    Why we need it

    Members:  We explicitly hold your data only to provide you, as members, with information relevant to the purpose of the club.   This includes a register of attendance, and occasional communication to let members know about programmes, meetings, dances, funeral arrangements of former members or similar matters.  Our lawful basis for using your data in this way is that we are presuming your consent to receive these membership benefits by virtue of your becoming and remaining a member of the club.  When we renew your membership, or accept new members, we will explain our commitment to limit the personal data we collect from you to keep in our membership records.



    Callers or musicians:  We only hold your data to contact you in relation to developing or delivering our programme, and occasional

    communications about related matters.



    How long we keep your information


    We plan to retain the attendance registers for our club archives, but will delete your membership contact details when you let us know you no longer wish to be a member.  In the case of musicians or callers, we will delete your contact details when you let us know you no longer wish to take part in our activities.



    What are your rights?

    If any member, caller or musician wishes, at any time, to see what personal data we hold about them, or wishes to seek removal or correction of any data held in our records, they may do so by contacting a committee member.
